Classical India, Rooted in Arkansas

Sangamitra “Sangu” Reshmy began studying Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance tradition that uses expressive storytelling through movement, facial expression, and rhythm, at age 8 under Guru Anupriya Krishnan. She has performed in Ohio, Arkansas, and on international virtual stages, and is currently pursuing a Junior Diploma in Bharatanatyam. An incoming freshman at the University of Arkansas, Sangu remains dedicated to both learning and teaching dance in her community.
