Joshua Youngblood
Stewarding Arkansas’s documentary record.
Joshua Youngblood is the Associate Dean of Special Collections at the University of Arkansas Libraries, where he has built a career for more than 15 years stewarding the materials that document Arkansas’s people, places, and traditions. Youngblood also serves on the board of the Ozark Natural Foods Co-Op.
At the Arkansas Folklife Festival, Youngblood discusses the Arkansas Folksong Digital Archive, an ongoing effort to digitize and make accessible the field recordings, manuscripts, and ephemera that document the state’s deep folk music heritage.
