Courtney Bradford
Curating Arkansas’s African American story.
Courtney Bradford serves as the curator at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, where she stewards the preservation, interpretation, and presentation of Arkansas’s African American history and heritage.
In addition to her curatorial work, Bradford has an extensive background in higher education, having taught History and African American Studies and most recently serving as an adjunct instructor in the Public History graduate program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
At the Arkansas Folklife Festival, Bradford co-leads the Braiding Hair, Intertwining Community session with Quantia Fletcher, a conversation that showcases the traditional art of African American hair braiding as an enduring cultural practice in Central Arkansas.
