Living Waters gospel ensemble

Sacred song from the heart of the Delta.

Living Waters is a community gospel ensemble from Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, led by Faith Duncan Daniels. Created through a collaborative community arts process, the group celebrates the deep connections between gospel music, faith, and everyday life in the Arkansas Delta.

The ensemble grew out of an Arts for Everyone activation that invited community members to share stories, songs, and memories rooted in the rich gospel traditions of Phillips County. Through this work, Living Waters became more than a performance group: a gathering place where intergenerational voices could come together to preserve and celebrate the sacred musical heritage of the Delta.

Through powerful harmonies, heartfelt testimony, and collective song, Living Waters honors the churches, families, and communities that have long sustained life along the Mississippi River. Their performances are both a celebration of place and an invitation for audiences to experience the joy, resilience, and enduring spirit that continue to define Helena-West Helena and the Arkansas Delta.
