Keith Symanowitz

A champion’s feet, a teacher’s heart
Keith Symanowitz (pronounced Suh-MAN-oh-wits) is a singer, musician, dancer, and educator based in Fifty Six, Arkansas. A two-time Ozark jig dancing champion and runner-up in the 2025 National Buckdancing Championship, Keith has performed alongside acclaimed folk and old-time acts including The Creek Rocks and GRAMMY winners Old Crow Medicine Show. He holds a master’s degree in Teaching from Harding University and serves as a park interpreter at Ozark Folk Center State Park, where he has taught music and dance workshops to thousands of visitors. His classes blend Arkansas folklife, storytelling, and an encouraging, hands-on approach designed to make learning fun for all ages and abilities.
