The Evolving Legacy of the Committee of 100 for the Ozark Folk Center
The Committee of 100 has stood beside the Ozark Folk Center for decades as a citizen organization devoted to one of Arkansas’s most significant living-heritage institutions. This conversation traces what the Committee has been, what it is becoming, and the people whose hands keep the Folk Center’s traditions alive.
Alison Lee is the current Chair of the Committee of 100. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law and an honors English degree from the University of Arkansas. She serves as President of the Buffalo River Foundation and as an executive board member of the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Pam Setser hails from Mountain View, joined the Simmons Family Band at age five, and has spent a lifetime as a musician and tradition bearer in Ozark music. She joins the conversation alongside Music Roots students, the next generation of musicians the Folk Center has helped raise.
