Arkansas Gospel Homecoming & Dinner on the Ground
Gather with us for a joyful afternoon of music, fellowship, and community at the Arkansas Gospel Homecoming & Dinner on the Ground. Rooted in a long Southern tradition of gathering after worship to share food, stories, and song, this special festival experience celebrates the rich legacy of Arkansas gospel music and the communities that keep it alive.
Throughout the afternoon, audiences will enjoy performances from gospel singers, choirs, and sacred music tradition bearers from across the state, representing the many voices and expressions of Arkansas faith communities.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and settle into our community picnic park, featuring a large-scale afghan installation created by Arkansas artist Olivia Trimble. Composed of handmade afghans collected from families and communities across Arkansas, the installation honors generations of care, craftsmanship, and connection while creating a welcoming space for gathering together.
Whether you come for the music, the memories, the fellowship, or simply a place to share a meal with friends and neighbors, the Arkansas Gospel Homecoming & Dinner on the Ground offers an opportunity to experience the warmth, hospitality, and collective spirit that have long been at the heart of Arkansas community life.
