Questions
Everything you need to know about volunteering at the festival
Shifts run from two to four hours across the three festival days. You choose what works for your schedule. No minimum commitment required.
No experience necessary. We train everyone on their role before the festival starts. Your willingness to help is what matters most.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Younger teens can volunteer with a parent or guardian present. We welcome multi-generational teams.
You get a volunteer t-shirt, free festival admission, meals during your shift, and the satisfaction of supporting Arkansas folklife. That matters.
Absolutely. Families volunteer together all the time. We have roles for different ages and abilities. It's a good way to spend time together.
Tell us what you need when you sign up. We work with volunteers to find roles that fit. Accessibility matters to us.
Most roles are on-site at Riverfront Park. But we do have some pre-festival planning tasks that can be done from home. Ask when you apply.
Life happens. Let us know as soon as you can if you need to cancel. We appreciate the notice and will find coverage.
Sign up for our newsletter after you apply. We send volunteer-specific updates, training info, and last-minute details before the festival.
Reach out to our volunteer coordinator anytime. Email or call—we're here to help you get ready.
