Community Building
Events

Join us in shaping the Arkansas Folklife Festival—one community at a time.

As we prepare for the Arkansas Folklife Festival in Summer 2026, we’re hitting the road and coming to a community near you. Throughout the year, we’ll be hosting Community Engagement Events in each of Arkansas’ six culturesheds to gather stories, build relationships, and invite YOU to help shape how your region is represented at the festival.

These events are free, welcoming, and open to all.

Whether you’re a tradition bearer, storyteller, artist, grower, cook, dancer, or simply someone who cares about the culture of your place—we want to hear from you.

Attend a community engagement session.
